Some New Photos

I figured out that the best place to take photos is on the floor of my front porch.

Bliss by Bonnie and Camille for Moda

I promised my mother months ago I'd make her a quilt from this line of fabric.  Lucky for her, Jennifer announced her Across the Sea QAL on Monday and my mom thinks it'll make a great throw for her living room. I'm more than stoked to get started.

Found a great full size flat sheet, two pillowcases, and a brass apple desk bell at a thrift store. All vintage, all for 5 bucks.

These I scored a while back but thought I'd share. 25 cents a spool, vintage cotton thread. I couldn't not buy them at that price. Aren't they awesome?! I figure I'll put them on a shelf in my future sewing room one day, hehe.

I also figured out that if I photograph every finished Summer Sampler block, then crop them to a square, then put them all together, I won't have to keep photographing them all together repeatedly. This will be easier!

  1. I'm really liking how that summer sampler is turning out. So pretty.

  2. Beautiful! I love the Maryville Thrift store! Too bad it closed :(

  3. Very cooly Krista, I like your fat quarters.

  4. Hi, found you on the across the sea QAL flickr page: love the fabric that you have chosen

  5. These look lovely - I just couldn't stretch to doing this QAL as well but I love everyone's quilts so much I may just have to...!

  6. Your summer sampler is GORGEOUS! Love the thrifted sheets too, I have the same on on the top!

I love hearing from you, thanks for stopping by!
