I played around and came up with this mockup for the Across the Sea QAL. My mom likes the colored corner points so I'm using this block tutorial instead. Hope that's cool with everyone, lol.
I'm using Bliss by Bonnie and Camille. My mom loves it so I bought a bunch a few months back. I've already got a most of the pieces sewn together!
I hit The Quilt Shoppe on Sunday to get the background material for the cross quilt and Tula Pink was there. We chatted FOREVER and I fell in love with her and her fabric. I got a few fat quarters, justified by the fact that I'd like to make my own version of this quilt I saw on flickr.
I've done a little more on my kaleidoscope quilt, but nothing else. This week's stats:
Last week's total: 5
Finished this week: 0
New this week:2
This week's total:7
I'm linking up with Lee's WIP Wednesday over at Freshly Pieced :D
love your ideas for across the sea - I haven't even started thinking about it yet...thanks for your comment!
ReplyDeletewow, you already have yours sewn!! I love the block you have shown us, I like the idea of the colourful corners
ReplyDeletevery nice blocks; both of them. The mosaic was in our Summer Sampler quilt...it makes a beautiful quilt alone though; I had a look on your flicker find.....nice
ReplyDeleteHow fun that you got to chat with Tula Pink! Your Across the Sea quilt is looking great. You are way ahead of me!
ReplyDeleteYour Across the Sea quilt is going to be awesome--I love their fabric too. And I also REALLY like the other block.
ReplyDeleteI like it soooo much better with the colored corners. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteHow cool to meet Tula Pink - the first set of FQ that I bought a few years ago was her Neptune fabric:)
