We have three bundles to share. They each have three different fat quarters of gingham, plus a full 1/2 yard of Kona white. What's the catch? Just make a virtual pinky swear that you'll play gingham with us! Make a block, or a few blocks, or a mini quilt, or add more ginghams from your stash to make a big quilt!
*On July 4th, post your completed project on your blog, with links
back to us.*
We'll be sharing our gingham projects that day, too, so it'll be one big gingham party! Feel free to enter on all three of our blogs, we'll make sure no one wins twice. We'll mail anywhere on planet Earth, (apologies to my Martian followers, I'll get you in on the next one). To win, leave me a comment telling me
*EDIT* - no need to commit to any specific plan for your bundle, just throw a fun idea out there and feel free to change your mind later on!
I'm making a fun, summery, picnic quilt our of my vintage ginghams. Can't wait to show you!
I want to play with you girls! I am up for the challenge and I will post instagram photos once daily of my progress. :-) I am thinking pillows for our front porch or a throw quilt for our "summer movies in the park" nights! Xxoo.
ReplyDeleteI'm totally entering on each blog. I do have an idea in mind for the gingham already. Something to do with flying geese!
ReplyDeleteHmmm... Checkerboard style quilt, alternating the various ginghams with a background fabric. Something Dorothy Gail might have on her bed. She is the queen of Gingham you know :)
ReplyDeleteI am going out to hunt for gingham now, and make a pillow for the summer! I love gingham.... I made my first pillow with embroidery designs as a teen, on purple gingham!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway chance!

hey Krista I remembered!
ReplyDeletehmmm I think it would have to be an epp mini, as they are fun and I'm likely to finish..though july the 4th is a scary thought, thats not long away!!
I think I will make two 20x20 pillow covers for our big bed pillows! Can't wait to play along!
ReplyDeleteI want to play so bad I've commented on each blog now. However, I think even if I don't win a bundle, I might have to go get some gingham. I've been contemplating getting some for a while now anyway and this is good incentive. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat would I do? Like you, I'm thinking a paper-pieced quilt. Something along the lines of a modified dresden and/or NY beauty meets Sunbonnet Sue. I know... wicked weird, right? That's how my ideas start. By the time I'm done, it could be a simple nine-patch! lol
Um I had thought I already commented so if this is number 2 delete it but I added you to reader and it says I have not commented. Any way this sounds like fun. And I want to join in.

I love the idea of using gingham in a little baby quilt! I have a 'peeping triangles' design in mind! I'd love to win! Oh BTW - you're awesome! ☺
ReplyDeleteI love the picnic blanket idea ... I've also got several friends having babies, so baby quilts are always in season. Mini-quilts are fast and fun, so, that's a possibility too. AAANND, I love the circular flying geese in the giveaway pic - I might have to actually try that pattern that I keep loving! So, in other words, I don't know what I'll make ... but it sounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteI will make a mini quilt with those lovely gingham fabric :)
ReplyDeleteThank you ^^
Gingham is so awesome. I love it. Years and years ago when my boys were little (I'm talking 4 and 5) we went to Branson (back then there wasn't hardly anything there) and we were driving down the strip when my youngest son piped up and said "Look Mom, there is a "Ging Gam" Goose, let's stop and see that "Ging Gam" goose. I still laugh about that so often. Thanks for a great giveaway and reminding me how versatile gingham is. I believe I would make a sweet girly quilt out of it.
ReplyDeleteMini or a picnic quilt. I've not used gingham before.
