The Back Door is Dressed

In an effort to start and finish something (anything!) all in one sitting, I busted out my DS stash and threw together a window curtain.
I can't decide if it's too long or not. I could remove that bottom dark blue strip of fabric. Or I could shorten the bright blue plaid strip. Reader input welcome!

  1. I wouldn't say it's too long. If you do change, I would keep the dark blue as I think it helps ground the curtain. Looks great as is though!

  3. It looks good to me. If you do shorten it, I agree with Katie. I'd keep the dark blue as is at the bottom.

  4. I love these fabrics and how your curtain turned out! I think that if you shorten, you could either take off the piece at the top or the piece at the bottom and it would look good either way.

  5. It's lovely and I personally like long curtains so would leave it as is.

  6. If you are catching the curtain when grabbing the door knob, just turn the bottom hem up a bit. It looks great just the length it is. The colors are fresh on the white. Thanks for sharing!

  8. I think it looks great the way it is! Congrats on finishing it in one sitting!! The fabrics are great. I don't think you have to shorten it unless it gets in the way of the door handle.

  9. It's so pretty! I like it as is..I'm a bit OCD and prefer the curtain to be that way! ;D

  11. I like it a lot--the dark "grounds" the curtain so it looks like it belongs. And I always think it's good to have dark colors where hands are always grabbing at things so it can hide the dirt.

Congrats on getting something--anything--done! I know the feeling. How was your birthday, by the way?
