Well yay for you!! It does look great!!! May I suggest something to use other than pins? I use small binder clips to hold the binding folded over while stitching, and it works great, and no poky pins getting in the way. I just bought them at an office supply store for cheap. They have come in very handy!!!
Way to go. I enjoy hand sewing on the binding. It's like the last little bit that you get to appreciate it and have it all to urself before its fair game for everyone else of gifted to someone. I don't use pins either, I have got clips(like girls hair clips) that hold the binding down whilst you work, again, no nasty pin pricks.
Good for you!! The first time I did that, make the the only time so far, it took me forever...but I love the result!!! It's looking great, and I look forward to seeing the quilt that it's binding!
That's pretty! I have a bunch of those fabrics in my skill builder! Love the purples.

ReplyDeleteFantastic! So do you love it?? It's my favorite step in the process & I'm an odd one, I guess...I just fold the binding over as I stitch along.
ReplyDeleteNice job! It's looking great! Definitely looks better than my first time! Haha

ReplyDeleteHow pretty! I'll admit I love sewing the binding by hand. It gives me time to slow down and reflect on the process of making the quilt.
